Most run $70,000 to $175,000 depending on scope, cabinetry level, and whether any structural changes are involved. The larger kitchens in the brick colonials here often support more ambitious layouts. We give a written budget range at the first consultation.

Many of the larger colonials and foursquares have excellent attic volume — enough for a primary suite or two bedrooms with a full bath. Smaller homes may need a dormer to make it work. We assess ridge height and floor framing on the first visit and give you a straight answer.
